An Introduction to Boost
Who are Boost?
Boost is a grassroots climate action group in Totton and Eling. We are a voluntary community group, open to all Totton and Eling residents and community members.
How we were founded
In 2023 a small group of local councillors and a few residents worked together to organise a climate change conference in Totton. The Totton Goes Wild Earth Day conference brought residents and community stakeholders together with experts to learn about and discuss climate change’s impact on Totton. During the focus groups attendees were asked for ideas as to how we can help Totton and Eling to become more sustainable and resilient. From this a list of ideas and action items were formed, and many people expressed interest in helping to take these ideas forward; these people became the first members of Boost.

In 2025 it was decided that a more formal group structure would help Boost to achieve our goals. Our inaugural AGM was held in April 2025.
